This card has a special window for this special couple.  I stamped the swirl background all over the front of the card and cut out a window to the left. I cut a piece of summer sun cardstock and pixie pink, stamping the swirl background on the pink and sentiment on the yellow, and rounded all the corners. I punched out the curly label in the blue and then added all of the hardware. I stamped pieces of the lady and snowman image on 3 1" pieces of pixie pink, poked brads through the middle and popped up along the bottom. As a sneak peak of the Fabulous image inside the window. I finished by coloring the lady and snowman image on white cardstock, centered the image in the window and adhered the card closed except for the window :)

We all float down here...

"Want your boat, Georgie?" Pennywise asked. "I only repeat myself because you really do not seem that eager." He held it up, smiling. He was wearing a baggy silk suit with great big orange buttons. A bright tie, electric-blue, flopped down his front, and on his hands were big white gloves, like the kind Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck always wore.

"Yes, sure," George said, looking into the storm drain.

"And a balloon? I've got red and green and yellow and blue..."

"Do they float?"

"Float?" The clowns grin widened. "Oh yes, indeed they do. They float! And there's cotton candy..."

George reached.

The clown seized his arm.

And George saw the clown's face change.

One of my first scary movies and favorite of all time.  Years after watching it I finally read the book and couldn't get enough. 

Over at Haunted Design House their challenge is 

Movie Madness.

And what better movie than IT!

I decided to do a stair step card so I could show more :)

Pennywise image from internet

Stampin' Up Going Gray and First Addition cardstock and paper

Stampin' Up Red Riding Hood reinker

Moon Shadow Mist: Mystic Malachite 

Black marker, red sharpe, black pen

Adhesive, pop dots

I drew the flood drains under the town and popped up the entrance. 

I sprayed the water ways with the mist to give it that muddy sewer water look.

Making the boat was a little tricky, because I wanted you to be able to see the sails well, finishing it with drips from the reinker.

I love how the swirl background stamp from Candy Kisses gave this little bear the arctic feel I was going for. I masked the crawling bear from Getting Grizzly before stamping the swirls so you'd get the feel that he was on an arctic cliff enjoying the view. Inking up the edges of every layer made each one stand out.

Warm Summer Night

WOW! Has this month been busy. My oldest's All-Star team won the District Championship so we were off to play States, which was Wicked exciting!!! And Wicked far away 2hrs each way for 3 days...and the gas.

Now on to the Crafties :)

I started out just really wanting to make a sunset...and this is how it came out...

I just love creating easel cards. They are FAST and a FUN surprise for the person opening that special card :)

I inked the top darker orange paper, direct to paper, with tango tangerine. Stamped the corners of the pumpkin pie, added the bow and ribbon and adhered tilted. I cut the ovals and stamped and colored the white oval, then used my distressing tool around the edges of both ovals, adhering them together and popping them up in the center.  Finishing by poking my two brads through the bottom, to hold my easel, and stamped and punched the sentiment out, inking the edges and popping up.

Patriotic Bears

I hope everyone had a Fabulous 4th of July!

My family and I had a great time...Always brings a smile to my face to see my boys having a great time, and of course who doesn't want to add the excitement of sparklers :)

Stamps: Sitting bears and Honey comb from Getting Grizzly full-size plate

Supplies:

Rogue Redhead Designs Getting Grizzly Plate

Stampin' Up Real Red, Whisper White and Island Indigo cardstocks

Stampin' Up Real Red, Basic Black and Island Indigo ink pads

Stampin' Up white ribbon

Creative Memories red pen

Making Memories red, white and blue eyelets

Adhesive, pop dots and glue dots

I made a Matchbook card.

Score a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock widthwise at 10 1/8 and 4 7/8. Use a bone folder to make the creases.

Cut the sheet of paper in half lengthwise at 4 1/4 in. , this will make 2 cards.

Stamp along the top flap,  fold the top flap down and the bottom flap up. You can also stamp the flaps while folded so the image will be on top and bottom flaps. Press the folds with the bone folder the smooth them out

Attach ribbon on the inside of the bottom flap. Hold the bottom flap closed and punch holes for eyelets, then add eyelets. You want the holes to go all the way through to the back of the card and low enough so that the front of the card can still be lifted up, DON"T put the hole through the front of the card or you won't be able to open it.

Pop up matted image across front on the top flap. And finish off with another ribbon knotted to the other.
