Rogue 3D

I have been wanting to play around with creating 3D stamped images. They're cute and versatile because it's up to you on what you'd like to see popping forth.

Here are my creations using the sitting bear from Getting Grizzly and the Flower from Just Sayin'. I did also stamp out the cat from Just Sayin' as well but ran out of time (Saving him for a rainy day)

Just stamp out a few of the images and maybe and one more than you think you're going to use just in case.

First figure out what you want to pop up and how many layers you need. If I were to do these over I would color everything instead of just whats going to be showing.

Here are the finished pieces!!!

A little side angle :)

DVD Storage

I, like many of you, am running out of room.
So I have 2 choices...1: stop buying or 2: figure out successful storage.
I chose the latter.

DVD cases for unmounted stamp storage leaves you with an open slate for decorating and takes up alot less space.

I have cut a piece of designer paper (NOTE: cardstock is too thick) and cut it down to 10 3/4 x 7 1/8.  Open your DVD case and measure to get the best dimensions.
I then stamped my image onto a piece of white paper and adhered it to the front.

Sorry for the glare in the photos :)

I finished by writing the company, name of set and number in the set (Behind the Scenes are big so I made 4 cases, labeling 1 of 4 and so on) on the front and the same information down the spine.

Dwell in the Possibility

RRD's new This N That is full of Fabulous images and Sentiments and as you can tell I couldn't wait to use them all :)

Stamped on a Tile, I used 3 shades of blue inks, the Sheet music and Bubblewrap background stamps from Behind the Scenes stamp plate and from This N That stamp plate-Midge, Birds, Clock and Sentiment.  I did stamp Midge and the Sentiment in black ink to stand out.

I had a Great time layering and am So happy with the outcome.

Rogue Container

It's snowing again!!!
Yes, New England has woken to another white fluffy morning.

So I really wanted to create something with Warm Bright colors.
One's that we will hopefully be seeing soon :)

Supplies:
Plastic drink mix container
Rogue Redhead's Relish Reading and Behind the Scenes stamp plates
Stampin' Up's Tango Tangerine, Pacific Point and Real Red inks
Adhesive, Pop dots, Ribbon, Flowers and Pearls

I cut a piece of flexible white paper and stamped the bubble wrap background stamp from Behind the Scenes using the stamp off technique to give some depth. Then I used the 2 book stamps from Relish Reading and randomly stamped around.

I then adhered the white paper around the container and glued some ribbon to the bottom.
On a separate piece of white paper I stamped the girl holding the book from Relish Reading, colored her in and stamped the sentiment on top. Finishing by cutting the image out, popping it up, adhering red flowers around the image and adding a few pearls.

Nature Notes Sunset

I love to watch the sunset! I know that sounds cliche but it's true. And I'm amazed at the many different shades it comes in. There's the blues that fade to oranges, the purples that fade to reds...etc.
So I took inspiration from the Tree scene in Nature Notes.

Supplies:
Rogue Redhead Designs: Nature Notes stamp plate
Copic markers: R24, R22, R20
Stampin' Up Basic Black, Calypso Coral and Blush Blossom ink pads
Stampin' Up Whisper White cardstock, brad and punch
Flower, little pink flower brads, adhesive and pop dots

I love how this stamp lends it's self to so many possibilities.

I used Copic markers to color the trees, background, the lines going around the edge and the coloring on the flower. The tree scene, sentiment and flourish are stamped using Stampin Up ink pads.  The brad and punch are from Stampin up also.  The flower is from a fake plant my Sister gave me. And finally I placed 3 pink flowers brads in each corner.

I'm entering this card into the following Challenges:

Unscripted Sketches: #195

Shopping our Stash: #87 (I chose red)

Color me Blue

I LOVE color Challenges!

They can really make you look at your stash in a different way and make a combo you might not have before, not to mention I feel they take part of the pressure off of one of the basic steps of creating and that's...What color should I use :)

This month over at Rogue Redhead Designs we're Challenging you to dive into your Blues and CREATE. So head on over and Join in the Rebel Challenge: Winter Blues

For this creation I used:
Rogue Redhead Designs Just Sayin' stamp plate
Stampin' Up Basic Black, Bordering Blue and Night of Navy cardstocks
Stampin' Up Basic Black ink and Black Glimmer brads
Spectrum Noir Shade of Blue alcohol pens
adhesives and pop dots

I love that little sassy cat looking at the squiggles sayin' What? lol

I chose not to put a sentiment in the inside because I thought the What? title really left this card open for alot of occasions: What? have you been up too, What? I heard through the grapevine you have some BIG news, ETC...

So head on over to Rogue Redhead Designs and show us your Beautiful Blue creations!

Whimsical Cupcakes :)

Cupcakes anyone???

Stamps: Cupcakes and Sentiment from Candy Kisses

This image from Candy Kisses reminds me of the scene in Beauty and the Beast, when the Dishes and food are dancing around for Belle. So fun and whimsical. Who wouldn't want swaying, dancing cupcakes?

I LOVE texture and lots of layers...

Not to mention paper piecing :)

Keeping with the theme of Winter Blues my color palette is Tempting Turquoise with White using a designer pattern paper and ribbons from Stampin' Up. And adding a special touch with the white pearls.

Please join us in this month's Challenge: Winter Blues
